• Oystercatcher is a very shy bird, can be found at sea and usually in herring gull swarms. As the herring gulls (wild ones, not the ones which are located near big cities or harbors) are very suspicious of everyone, they fly away at the first chance they get worried, so does the oystercatcher when herring gulls do.
• Starting tip: get low and use a masking costume. It may happen that the gulls fly away, but oystercatchers stay – that’s your moment.
