Treecreeper. Mizložņa. Certhia familiaris. Treecreeper. Waldbäumlaufer. Trädkrypare. Porr. Пищуха.

  • Treecreeper, I like this word a lot, really, it reminds me of Jeepers Creepers - a film, which was worth watching some years ago. A very common bird species.  I have seen it mostly on elder trees (leaf-bearing trees), which have thick bark. This bird is quite active, changing its place like every 10 seconds. The worst part, it almost always jumps from the trees shadow side, to another trees shadow side, so the hardest part is to get it in the sun for the natural color. As I said, it’s an active bird, when it hears the voice of its breed; it gets nervous and is searching for the one causing all the trouble. By now I haven’t figured out if it is a search to mate or just a try to intimidate anyone who has gotten into its territory.
  • Starting tip: use its voice to lure it closer… That’s about it. It WILL come to you if it is around. Wouldn’t say that it is afraid of humans, it just doesn’t pay attention it should pay to such large beings.
