• European Jay is to most annoying bird I know and have seen in action. It doesn’t let you near. It doesn’t come closer when you use its voice. It croaks when it isn’t amused – that scares all other birds near you away. Just like a dog on a hay heap – not eating and not letting others eat. The interesting part about this bird is its ability imitating sound it hears – like a dog barking or cat meowing. It’s interesting to listen to.

• Starting tip: at the moment haven’t noticed the difference between masking clothes on and off near this bird – it doesn’t let me close both times. On a voice record it responds, but from the most highest tree near you– usually a fir-tree. There is a time when it isn’t so cautious – its when the jay is getting acorns – at that time it seems that the bird doesn’t care.
